The Path To Painless Profits @ EntrepreneursOnCall.com

What are Painless Profits?

Painless Profits: Independent business owner profits that come by experiencing the least possible number of obstacles, risk, stress, frustration, anxiety, doubts, apprehension, fear and displeasure for the most profit gained.

NOTE: The operative phrase in this definition is "Least possible". All independent business owners will be faced with all the painful issues that come with starting, managing and growing a business at one time or another and some continiously.

The question is, how to reduce those painful aspects of business ownership, down past the point that they just become bearable, to the point they don't become an impediment to the success of your business. One of the biggest keys to a painless and successful business is to TREAT IT LIKE A REAL BUSINESS! The purpose of this page is to help you in that endeavor.

REMEMBER: Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal. __ Henry Ford

Career Path Options:
No Pain Small Business

Career Path 1 (No Change)
Stick with the same old job you currently have, working for somebody else:

If you are happy working for someone else who is profiting from your knowledge, abilities and efforts, then you're on the right path. There is certainly nothing wrong with the security(?) of a J.O.B. that comes with benefits and a regular pay check you can count on.

Though it's common knowledge you'll probably never become financially independent working form someone else, it's a career path that feels safe and secure. As well, when your work day ends, you can leave work at work and your life is your own to do with as you please. If you're not happy working for someone else, but just don't know what to do about it, maybe you should consider one of the following career path changes.

Career Path 2 - Contractor Entrepreneur- Fee For Services

Provide your skills and abilities as services for a fee, to people or companies willing to pay for your services. If you have marketable skills and abilities, you can take comfort in the fact that this is a career path millions of people chosen and then prospered.

All you need is enough operating capital to get you to the point where you are profitable above and beyond your business costs, and cost of living for you and your family. If you have a formal Business Plan in place, you may not need to come up with all the necessary operating capital yourself. If you business plan is solid, you may be able to attract investors or at least, if you have good credit, get a small business loan.

If you have a degree in business and/or the equivelant in life experience to start, manage and build a business, this could be a great career choice for you. Just be sure you research your market and competition, get a complete Business Plan in order, including your budget for advertising, marketing, tools of your trade, liability insurance and so on. You will also find numerous resources to assist you in your business endeavor right here on this web site. Here is just one resource example: The Entrepreneur's Network - Financing Your Business Additional Articles and business guides will be posted in the E.O.C. Library.

Career Path 3 - Direct Sales Entrepreneur - Selling Product(s)

Producing and marketing your own products is another career path millions have chosen to reach their success goals. If you have an invention or product you have done sufficient marketing research to assume your product has profit potential, then marketing your own products may provide you with the career path that is right for you. Producing your own products or services does give you a higher degree of control over your business than if you sell products or services provided by someone else. However, selling someone elses products has other benefits.

Of course taking this career path will require all of the same considerations as those of the "Contractor Entrepreneur" (Above), or any other type of business. If you are intending to start your home based business on a part time bases, many of the expenses that come with starting a conventional business can be avoided in the beginning. Regardless of whether you are going to immediately make a full time commitment or part time commitment to marketing your own products, you will also need a plan.

Producing and marketing someone else's products again requires a lot of the same considerations as those above, however all you have to do is get people to buy your suppliers products or services. You don't have to manage production, inventory, warehousing, fulfillment, accounting, sales tax and on and on and on.
